Over the last two years the School of Continuing Education at Columbia University has designed and developed a new, highly interactive networked teaching and learning model that puts students and faculty at the center of the online education experience. Collaboration, learning support, and accelerated innovation are common elements of the state-of-the-art platform that combines exceptional content delivery with a highly developed social media framework.
Video plays a significant role in the online and hybrid courses. SCE@Columbia has created a media production team to address the growing demand for multimedia in our courses. In this presentation, we will discuss our media production processes, the use of Kaltura’s analytics in the design and development of our courses, and offer best practices from our own experience.
